ABOUT ME
I'm a Texas Woman's University graduate, wife, dog-mom, and most importantly a third generation educator. I grew up in a small, southern white-christian town, but I currently reside and work in Dallas, Texas. I have a passion for working with minority groups, as my current teaching position is at a charter school for lower SEC and 71% of my students are minorities. I start my first year (of secondary) teaching mid-way through the year, with 3 preps and 3 other teachers in my class before me. I am currently teaching 8th grade U.S. History, 9th grade Geography and 10th grade World History. During college, I held various positions at a highly esteemed preschool as a lead teacher and working my way into management. I started this blog to help keep myself sane as I figure this process out! And I will continue this blog to help other teachers thrown into situations similar to mine.
